Tolles, authentisches Masi Prestige von 1981

Für den Liebhaber klassischer Rennräder ist ein Masi "Prestige" eines der berühmtesten und meistgesuchten Räder italienischer Herkunft überhaupt. Sein Schöpfer, Alberto Masi, errichtete sich Mitte der 70er Jahre mit dem Entwurf dieses Rahmens ein Denkmal und setzte damit die von seinem Vater Faliero gegründete Familientradition Nathlos fort.

Was macht ein Masi "Prestige" so besonders?

Alberto Masi zeichnete den Rahmen als kompromisslosen Rennrahmen, mit feinen Proportionen aber durchaus auch mit Komfortmerkmalen. Kaum zu übertreffen ist die Detaillierung, die besonders an der oberen Sattelstrebe ihre handwerkliche Krönung erfährt. Schöner kann man einen Rahmen kaum bauen! Die Werkstatt von Alberto Masi befindet sich im kürzlich renovierten Velodrom Antonio Maspes in Mailand. Hier ist der Altmeister fast täglich anzutreffen – eine lohnende Pilgerreise.

Das hier angebotene Masi Prestige befindet sich im ursprünglichen Ausstattungszustand. Die Liebe, die Masi in seine Rahmen und Veredlung der Anbauteile steckt, kann man an so vielen kleinen Details erkennen. Man muss sich Zeit nehmen, den Rahmen einmal genau zu bestaunen. Der tolle, bei 3ttt gebaute Masi Lenker, in Kombination mit dem pantografierten Masi Vorbau sind ein sehr schönes Cockpit. Die Masi pantographierten Campagnolo Record Schalthebel sind für mich persönlich die hübschesten überhaupt. Sämtliche Anbauteile befinden sich in einem tollen Zustand. Der 6 Fach Dura Ace Schraubkranz ist bergfreundlich und nahezu neu. Der Rahmen hat Gebrauchsspuren, diese sind Zeichen von nunmehr 40 Jahren Benutzung und gehören zu einen authentischen Renner. Der Chrom ist in einem super Zustand, der Gabelkopf perfekt erhalten. Alles eben komplett original - selbst die Campagnolo Schaltzüge und die Hoods der Bremshebel! Dieser Klassiker eignet sich perfekt und die Erioca zu fahren. Jedes neuwertige Rad ist manch einen dafür sicher zu schade, dieses Rad ist perfekt um gefahren zu werden.

For the classic racing bike enthusiast, a Masi "Prestige" is one of the most famous and sought-after bikes of Italian origin ever. Its creator, Alberto Masi, built a monument to himself in the mid-1970s with the design of this frame, thus naturally continuing the family tradition founded by his father Faliero.

What makes a Masi "Prestige" so special?

Alberto Masi designed the frame as an uncompromising racing frame, with fine proportions but also with comfort features. It is hard to beat the detailing, which is crowned with craftsmanship, especially on the upper saddle strut. You can hardly build a frame more beautifully! Alberto Masi's workshop is located in the recently renovated Antonio Maspe velodrome in Milan. The old master can be found here almost every day - a worthwhile pilgrimage.

The Masi Prestige offered here is in its original condition. The love that Masi puts into its frames and the finishing of the add-on parts can be seen in so many small details. You have to take your time to admire the frame closely. The great Masi handlebars, built at 3ttt, in combination with the pantographed Masi stem are a very nice cockpit. The Masi pantographed Campagnolo Record shifters are, for me personally, the prettiest of all. All the add-on parts are in great condition. The 6-speed Dura Ace sprocket is mountain-friendly and almost new. The frame has traces of use, these are signs of 40 years of use and belong to an authentic racer. The chrome is in great condition, the fork crown perfectly preserved. Everything is completely original - even the Campagnolo gear cables and the hoods of the brake levers! This classic is perfect to ride and the Erioca. Any bike in mint condition is surely too good for some people, this bike is perfect to be ridden.
